Balanescu Quartet, Kronos Quartet, Steve Reich, J.S. Bach , Holst and more.
The world of western instrumental music is very interesting. The cultural aspects, the social aspects,..and so on. In this new episode of my mixtapes we have a small selection of my favorite tunes. Sacred music, secular music and experimental music in one set. From light to dark. We have the always beautiful Balanescu Quartet (check their Kraftwerk interpretations), Kronos Quartet playing Philip Glass, the minimalism of Steve Reich and then we go to Bach. My favorite composer of all time who wrote the genius Matthaus Passion and Johannes Passion. We can hear my two favorite interpretations of the opening choir. Then we have some darker music with Wagner, Holst, Mahler, Stravinsky and we end with the very experimental tune of Stockhausen. One of the first electronic music pieces of all time.
Enjoy this with some good beer (Rochehort 10) or wine (a good pinot noir).
