Jazz Jousters podcast #19 by DJ Walla P [ Canada ]

Playing tracks by

Hiroshi Suzuki, Diamond D, Ackryte, Gene Russell, Nine Taels and more.

Welcome the the Jazz Jousters Podcast #19, my name is Walla P, and I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I would to thank Gadget and the whole Millennium Jazz Music family for giving the opportunity to share some of my favorites Jazz and Jazz-inspired Hip Hop tracks, and also give credits to all the Jazz Jousters producers for their remarkable releases. I tried to mix it up a little with some classic jazz cuts, some tracks that sampled notorious jazz sounds, and a few more contemporary beats that embodies the essence of jazz. I hope you enjoy listening to this mix, and remember folks, stay jazzy.

Man oh man, Monty Alexander is dope man! Moses Dillard is funky and Riz Ortolani is damn cool. Man I so love Lou Donaldson!

Shit man this is a killer set, not a moment that didn't flow, engage and entice the ears. Most of this stuff I didn't know, although I'm a huge KDef fan and have 3 of his Lps. I particularly dug Diamond D, Dela, Dr Mad, Suff Daddy and Gene Russell. Also love Us3 which I have featured in one of my Millennium Jazz podcasts also. Bigups and as Jimmy says, welcome to the family bro.

Thx man, glad you like the mix; your's and Mac's are always playing at my wine store, and the clients are feelin' it; it was hard to choose within a massive pool of songs that I wanted to play, hopefully I'll get to do another one ( after you guys do yours of course) so that we can all raise the bar for each other...keep up the good work, and thankful to be part of the fam. Peace from Montreal

DJ Jimmy Mac

The bar has been raised again. You had me locked in the groove from start to finish. nice work. Welcome the fam.
