In 1972 Lou Reed started his solo career. During the seventies he released his bests works like "Berlin", "Rock and roll animal", "Sally can't dance" or "Coney Island baby". He also experimented with new sounds in albums like "Metal machine music", "Street hassle" or "The Bells". The eighties were also a productive era and he began to collaborate with humanitarian causes. At the end of the nineties, he returned to the spotlight. His last works, "The Raven" and "Hudson river wind meditations", explored the poetry and the meditation music.
