Under the Masons Apron Folk Show #29 with guest Bryony Holden (June 2013)

Playing tracks by

Ashley Hutchings, Bryony Holden, Chris Ricketts, Bill Whaley & Dave Fletcher, James Findlay and more.

.. and so another offering grinds out of the perculator..

While Gramster is playing away in the Rockies, Mal is joined in the studio by Bryony Holden, who trys to put the cuss up the mason's apron. We're having none of that round here.
Together with her big sis Erin (of Tinkerscuss fame), Bryony has brought out a solo tribute album in memory of the wonderful Sandy Denny who died in tragic circumstances over 30 years ago.
We play six tracks off the album, entitled 'Across the Purple Sky', each introduced by Bryony. You can find the tracks here should you wish to download them. And you will, won't you?
Mal adds a selection of tunes and songs to our usual standard, and a good time was had by all.

Gramster will be back next time no doubt full of Canadian bon homie and a mountie or two up his sleeve. At least I think that's what he said.

Fab Mal, hadn't heard Bryony before so will check out the album. Beautiful.

One of the hidden gems of folk music. Check out Tinkerscuss' music. You will be stunned by the sheer talent of these two ladies.

The Durham Ranger & She Bear

One belter of a show Mal & Bryony... Loved it.
May I point everyone to a video I produced with the help of Bryony and her sister Erin with permission from the executors of the Sandy Denny estate where you can hear a fusion track of The Lady (Sandy Denny) and Bryony singing 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes'...
