Joining you this holiday weekend, following a very tumultuous week in the struggle, its important to think about what freedom really looks like and how we get there. First, on Eyes Open Justin Jacoby Smith looks at Barrett Brown, the member of Anonymous whose *mother* is facing a 6-figure fine for allegedly helping him hide his laptops from police. Plus, news on the drone front: will giving flying robots over to the Pentagon do any good for the world? Then, in response to debates about the Supreme Court hearings on the Defense Of Marriage Act this week, we're going to re-air a segment Robert Stephens did in November. He questioned whether marriage rights and equality under the law were a positive step if the end goal for social movements is liberation. After that on Lucha Feminista we'll be discussing street harassment and what is our responsibility in combating it, with Emily Morrison from the DC Collective Action for Safe Spaces. All this and so much more, so tune in!
