Chart positions

This upload was 1st in the #indie rock chart and 3rd in the #alternative rock chart.

The phrase "left of the dial" is one of those catch-alls that implies American "college rock radio" in the mid-to-late 1980s. For me, that means the jangle of the South, the rumble of the North, the tunefulness of the Midwest, and the eccentricities of the West Coast — melodic, but propulsive rock music from locales like Minneapolis, Boston, Athens, and San Francisco. On this one-hour episode, we'll hear from The Smithereens (pictured), Guadalcanal Diary, Young Fresh Fellows, Soul Asylum, The Feelies, R.E.M., Hüsker Dü, Camper Van Beethoven, Thin White Rope, Pylon, The Embarrassment, Scrawl, and some forgotten nuggets from Fire Town, Primitons, The 27 Various, Angst, and Moving Targets. Dig it!

Has me thinking you could do some shows on the great labels of the day, like Frontier, Enigma?Restless and Twin Tone to name a few.

Thank you. Thin White Rope is now mostly forgotten.
