Breakfast with Phil Gough 9 Jan 2018 (guest Cllr Alan Cullens) (Clayton Hall Landfill Site odours)

In this morning's show Phil tackles the topic of the odours emanating from the Clayton Hall Landfill site.

The programme features a prerecorded interview with County Councillor Michael Green, LCC Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Environment and Planning. We also hear the experiences of Mr John Sutton, who lives very near to the Clayton Hall site, just outside Leyland.

Studio guest is Cllr Alan Cullens (pictured), one of the councillors representing the Clayton-le-Woods area on Chorley Council, who has a detailed knowledge of the history of the landfill site.

Neale's Waste Management were unable to send a representative but provided a copy of their earlier statement, while the Environment Agency gave us their latest update, issued this morning.

We will re-visit this topic on next Tuesday's Breakfast. If you'd like to comment, please email the station at [email protected]

Thanks for your comment, Suzannah. We know iI's definitely *not* the case that all resident affected received the letter from the Environment Agency.

Apparently all residents affected received a letter from the environment agency about this situation...not seen any letter whatsoever and I live in Clayton le Woods and smell this odour daily, in and outside my house. I am calling the environment agency on a daily basis.
