The Interviews - 7 - John Cutter (Cinemaware) e.g. Defender of the Crown (1986) Rocket Ranger (1988)

John Cutter was the first employee hired by Robert Jacob. He was in charge of close to all titles being released within the lifespan of the company between 1986 and 1991, creating the first system seller for the Amiga with Defender of the Crown. Later on iconic games followed, e.g. Rocket Ranger, It came from the Desert, Three Stooges, SDI, Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon, King of Chicago, Wings, Lords of the Rising Sun and several titles from the TV-Sports series, including Basketball, Boxing, Baseball and Football. After the end of Cinemaware he stayed in the industry for another 30 years, still being active in 2021. In our interview, he shares his thoughts about game development as well as remembering the good old days of the eighties.
