Playing tracks by
Olde Scottish, JANKO NILOVIC, KARL HECTOR + THE MALCOUNS, Baby Huey & The Baby Sitters, Jim o’rourke and more.
I chose those tracks because they helped me rediscover the era of funk and classic grooves that created my love of music in the early to mid 70's. Driving bass and drum tracks that inspired head bopping, toe tapping to a beat that sucks you right in and never lets you go. A lot of that is absent in today's pop music, but by listening to the mix, it really emphasizes how timeless good music is and border-less as well. Not just here in America, but much of the world embraced to the music of the Funk Era. Some of it is even the source of inspiration for later generations.
It's one way to establish a connection to today's music, hip hop, r&b, jazz as well, the mix features a cornerstone to great modern funky beat music.
