Music and eccentrica on the intersection between musical comedy, punk rock, performance art and the avant garde.
This is my first go at doing a radio show (I have no idea what I'm doing, so we'll learn together), I want to explore the music and stories that occupy the twilight zone between comedy & alternative cabaret and music as it is defined by popular culture. Within that zone are many fine artists, inventors and non-conformists who struggle to get played in the usual channels but refuse to trade expression for fame. For those who seek to make life interesting in a world that values blandness, for those who create because not doing so isn't an option.
The second half of the show is an extended interview with Hull's "Man of Many Heads" Graham Graham Beck, about his life, evolving musical adventures and recent appearances on Britain's Got More Talent.
