Veronica Berry has written the book, 'Before the Wind of Change', It is noticed that Amazon have copies.
Dr. Berry decided to become a general practitioner because he loved helping people
Dr. Berry was in Africa just before and at the start of ideas like the Ground Nut Scheme, the Rice Scheme, and Egg Scheme which cost the Labour government £49 million
The Labour government cancelled the projects in January 1951.
Because of his belief that the prevailing ideas that
large areas should be cultivated was not right.
That a pilot experimental area should be tried first
led to his departure. After returning home he was
to see the collapse of these rather expensive ideas.
