Playing tracks by
Substructure, Remote, Future Loop Foundation, Lovers Lane, Dab and more.
From the outset with Firewires "Substructure" this sets the feel for the rest of the album; offering the atmosphere of a hot summer night next to the sea in a rich rhythmic electonic bass driven soundscape.
"Postcard" by Remote (a collective featuring Roger Eno (brother of Brian)) is one of the standout tracks(there are many), this is a wonderfully drifty ambient track with vocals from Sally Marie Munck (not unsimilar to the Eno brothers "Deep Blue Day").
For me the other highlights are the slightly jazz tinged track by Future Loop Foundation (superb interwoven flugelhorn & vocals),Terra Del Sol "Sea Goddess"; a wash of keyboards & hot desert Spanish guitar, Vargo "The Moment" again featuring Spanish guitar and very Mediterranean sounding vocals provided by Stephanie Hundertmark and lastly (but by no means least) the final track by Blank & Jones which in my opinion is too short.
