Darwin Day Feb 12th is when we can feel proud of our own achievements as a human race and as the first species that has begun to understand how we became who we are. In this report the great evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin is celebrated by Associate Professor Dr Emmeline Hill who has published more scientific papers on equine exercise and genetics than any other researcher in the world. Many thanks to Dr. Hill, to coordinator Alan Tuffery of the HAI and to all who attended Dr Hills talk on Artificial selection in the genomics age – lessons from the racecourse.
