The HAI joined 60,000 members and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community to march at this years Dublin's Pride Parade. I spoke to S, a member of Radical Queers Resist group @RadQueersResist and asked them if Ireland is a good place to come out. Does the recent apology by the State to those who were criminalised for homosexuality mean the battle for LGBTQ+ acceptance is won? Since this recording, the first ever Trans Pride in Dublin was held with over 1,000 people marching against the many social barriers that remain to trans people in Ireland.

HAI Chair Steve Rawson's Humanist reflection at this years National Day of Commemoration was the first ever Humanist address delivered at this important ceremony honouring the men and women who have died in wars or on service with the United Nations. It was part of a live broadcast on RTE One, July 8th 2018.
