Launched in 2007, Studio Rockers entered the game just as Dubstep was blowing up regionally in the UK, 2 years before it went global. As the Hardcore Continuum erupted like Krakatoa, Studio Rockers grew eclectically side-by-side with Bass Music, mimicking the very nature of it's mastermind Tony Thorpe. This past Monday, Studio Rockers released what will more than likely be one of the best compilations of 2014, no hype. Studio Rockers At The Controls - Level 2 is somewhat absurd in it's variety, yet with 15 tracks of 15 different styles it still manages to feel cohesive- a testament of it's curator's 26+ years in the game.
To celebrate the release of Studio Rockers At The Controls – Level 2, we are honored to present HIGHCAST 39 from Tony Thorpe himself. Featuring only songs from the compilation, it is a veritable feast of Bass Music’s expansive embrace. Enjoy.
