Chart positions

This show was 1st in the global roots reggae chart, 4th in the global dub chart, 8th in the global vinyl only chart and 12th in the global reggae chart.

Third slice of UK Dub selections, many still from the 90s but also spanning 2000s and more up to date. Not my strongest area for selections and knowledge to be honest, as I kind of switched off a bit with the general trend towards evermore ‘boom boom’/techno style steppers… not my thing. So this is a selection of the more melodic ones I’ve come across over the years. Kicking off with 2 90s Classics, deep hypnotising UK style… one on Barry Issac’s Reggae on Top label (Vision of Jah) and the other an Aba Shanti production on the killer ‘Rasta business’ riddim (Mighty Threes). Then some killer Gussie P licks by Danny Red and Jux on ‘Storm is coming’ riddim followed by a sweet Channel One production ft Tena Stelin (very original lyrics!). Nxt up the monster classic Kunte Kinte (2 or 3 cuts). Last segment features melodic horns-heavy productions from a variety of producers and artists. Last tune is a killer slow-stepper plodder by Anthony Que, a relick of one of his 90s tunes… lovely.
