This week, my guest is the fantastic Lee Jackson.
Lee is obsessed with the social history of Victorian London. He has an encyclopaedic website (http://www.victorianlondon.org/), has published seven historical crime novels, including A Metropolitan Murder (Arrow: 2004), and non-fiction, most recently Dirty Old London (Yale: 2014), about the Victorians’ desperate struggle to deal with filth and pollution.
I talk to Lee about history, the Victorians and writing in general. And, of course, he shares his selections for Apocalypse Books.
