This week, my guest is the lovely Kim Bannerman.
Kim lives on Vancouver Island, Canada, where she writes short stories, novels, and screenplays. Her stories have appeared in journals like Room of One’s Own and Parabola Magazine, and in anthologies like the groundbreaking Paraspheres (2006), 100 Stories for Queensland (2011) She’s Shameless (2009), Wolf-Girls (2012), Girl at the End of the World (2014), In the Company of Animals (2014), and In An Unknown Country (2016). She is the author of five novels: The Mark of the Magpie (2014), The Tattooed Wolf (2014), Bucket of Blood (2011), The Fire Song (2011), and The Wolf of Gilsbury Cross (2006). Kim and her husband Shawn Pigott run Fox&Bee Studio, an independent film company.
I talk to Kim about her writing, her inspirations (particularly the way a sense of place inspires her writing) and (of course) wolves.
