The Manchester City of Literature inaugural Festival of Libraries takes place from Wednesday 9th-Sunday 13th June. The packed programme of events includes in-person, virtual and outdoor events for all ages, as well as talks, interviews, tours, creative projects and activities at both local libraries across GM and Manchester’s heritage libraries.
I’ll be chatting to Ivan Wadeson, Executive Director of Manchester City of Literature, and taking a trip to Chetham’s Library, the oldest public library in the English-speaking world, to speak with librarian Fergus Wilde. I’ll also be joined by some of the artists and writers who are taking part in various events for the festival, including Mike Garry, Rosie Garland, Charlotte Wetton, Lydia Hounat, Anjum Malik, Ruth Yates, Michelle Collier, Ella Otomewo and James Holt.
Listen every Saturday from 2-4pm, North Manchester FM, 106.6 FM
