Can housing be a catalyst for great places? London debate 13/14

The final debate in The Glass-House Debate Series 2013/14 explored how housing can act as a catalyst to enhance the quality of our places, and in turn our quality of life.

As London and the UK as a whole, faces significant challenges in providing adequate housing for a growing and ageing population:
How can we improve the process of developing housing provision to support better neighbourhoods, to create opportunities for learning and upskilling, and help build a shared sense of place? How can a more collaborative approach to placemaking unlock potential in people and in places?

Speakers:
Fiona Colley, Southwark Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Corporate Strategy / Elspeth Mackenzie, Chief Executive, Thrive Homes / Fran Balaam, Architect and Lecturer / Angela Moore, Member of Resident Steering Group for Granville New Homes
Chair: Sophia de Sousa, Chief Executive, The Glass-House Community Led Design
