Anji's inspiration for DJ’ing came from hearing Frankie Knuckles & Ron Hardy (R.I.P.) in the late 80’s. She decided at that moment she wanted to play and make music for the masses as well.
Anji Stone began her instruction in 1984, under the direction of her mentor & her friend, Terry "Glovemaster Siz" Moore. He began teaching her how to “spin” records. At that time there wasn’t a huge market for female deejays, she kept practicing and in the early 90's, she took a break from the music scene. In 2004, she played various venues in Madison, WI, which led to her return back to the Chicago land area where she kept DJ’ing on a private level. In June 2010, Anji Stone made her professional debut at a birthday event, “Bash of the Titans, “ which was an “all-female” lineup that led to the next evolution of her career.
Embracing her musical talents Anji was ready to give the House Community music from her soul, so in 2011, she began her apprenticeship on the production side.
