David Holmes - Music That Andrew Taught Us.

oh my days. my twin flame, number one soul brother, but a couple of years older and ahead of the game. i was playing 6am sets dropping Silver Apples and Can and Suicide alongside my Andrew Weatherall remixes and Acid Beats that i had got from Fon in my spiritual home of Sheffield, the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire. I moved to the london to seek the streets are paved with people openly selling acid at camden town train station, used to hang out with King Rolo and watch him get stoned and move the hi-hats around for what would become those great late period Woodentops white labels. I walked into a Walthamstow rekkid store as a 17 year old indie kid with a headfull of Krautrock and arksed the nice man "what's this acid house? What's the best rekkid in this shop? and walked out with Strings. So when 'Loaded' happened and chrnc mstrbtr bibi glsp, who had introduced me to the greatest band of ever ALAN VEGA AND MARTIN REV turned his MC5 covers band into ANDREW FUCKING WEATHERALL everybody! i was balls deep. This was my guru, a freak like me, i used to run one of those mail order record selling things where you sent an sae and i'd send you a list of records by KLF, The Orb, Black Dog, Underworld, but mainly every single one of Andrew's remixes, precious things that were 50p then but 50 quid now!! Some of them got lost in The Great Purge.....oh my god. You covered SEX BEAT? oh no, no the right track Andrew! ha ha!
Anyway, The Great Purge, i realised that nobody wanted this best fucking DJ you've never heard of, so i sold most of my dance records apart from the ones i might like to listen to at home and moved back north. When i started hearing Andy Blake play them out at World Unknown I went out and bought them again, but there weren't many missing AW records, i'd kept most of those. I have so many stories to share about my ephemeral friendship with Andrew and how many times that Alan Moore lookalikey ("it's been said before horton, but two words for you, Manson and Charlie") changed my life and am writing an article about them. I still can't believe he's gone, but i have a gold framed photo of the googlemaps ghost above the decks ordering me to not bother with attempting that chord change horton you knob, what the fuck are you thinking? Always looking after me even now, like Sun Ra or Prince, the Obi Wan Kenobi of Dance music, more powerful in death than you could ever imagine. Flail we may, brothers and sisters, flail we may, sail weeeee wehhhhhhh! Proof that the baby Jesus does not exist that Kid Starver and his Morrissey haircut are still free to roam ar cuntry and murder it in our sleep whilst this great and unassuming hero to an entire generation has these tears of mine flowing again for such a sad loss. It's just NOT FAIR. He should have outlived us all in his dodgy trance trousers and here we are, crying tears of real blood over one of the greatest psychedelic warriors of love that ever bumbled along inadvertently healing our world. "look on the bright side, horton", said a well meaning friend, "you've just gone up in the best DJs on earth". Sorrowfully i replied "yes, but so has everyone else"

When this fitting tribute was first release last year there was loads of requests for the name of the final track, think it was one of Andrews that was at the time unreleased. Does any know if it's been released yet and what it's called. I fall love repeatedly every time I hear it.
