EPM Podcast 117 comes from non-other than Daniel Miller, a man who’s musical acumen continues to cause waves 40 years after setting up the legendary label, Mute Records. For most people Daniel’s story is forever entwined with the history of the influential independent British label he founded in 1978, with the release of his own 7” single - The Normal ‘T.V.O.D.’ ‘Warm Leatherette’ and the global success of bands such as Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Erasure, Moby and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. However, Mr Miller has always had a keen ear for the darker, heavier sounds that clubland had to offer. See sister label novamute and yoiu will know that techno is also very much part of his DNA. Ahead of playing @ Linke Soto x novamute on 18 May alongside Helena Hauff we get a taste of what’s to come as he brings VCMG, Fidelity Kastrow, Chris Liebing, Gary Numan, Gary Beck, DVS1 and Terence Fixmer to the boil.
