Mo'Jazz 99: Igloo Records Special

Playing tracks by

Dick d'Alaise, Melanie De Biasio, Fabrice Alleman, Danza Quartet, Igor Gehenot Trio and more.

1978 - The Igloo label was initially created in Belgium to cater for improvised and electro-acoustic music, but gradually specialised in modern jazz. It has released material by most of Belgium's jazz talent, including Philip Catherine, Nathalie Loriers, Diederik Wissels, Musicazur and Charles Loos as well as younger talents such as Melanie De Biasio and the Pascal Schumacher Quartet. The label celebrated its 30th anniversary with a concert on November 28, 2008 in Brussels.

Gentlemen... May I intervene in agreement for one part, but offer up another circumstance in empathy..? Ok ...in full espouse that it is essentially a session which would require one to absorb it in the comfort of one's home. And yes with a favorite bottle or glass of a refine beverage to indulge... My difficulty aroused, to which part of the my dwelling, as comfortable as it may be in all parts, that would invite, distribute and sustain the energies or higher cosmic frequencies parallel to the sound and conceal within to attain full acceptance and appreciation of the music.. elements in the art or the understanding of Feng Shui had to be considered to arrive at it ... And here is where I empathize with you all, as your weather this time of the year does not permit for the opening of the doors and windows to your homes thus allowing these elements of life in and to pass through undisturbed .. I listened not in my studio, nor in my living room with the television on mute or in the kitchen cooking sometime as I usually do ...but rather on the roof deck with a glass "Mount Gay "darken ellipse Rum form Barbados

The music spoke for itself in volumes my brother.. no need to relinquish a comment on it ....

love you man : )

Wow, what a great find........really good stuff !!! I'm with Michael, perfect for chilling at home sipping my red Montepulciano from Abruzzo ;-)

The Hedonist

There are some bonkers-ly good tracks in here, Dickie
Melanie De Biasio is a very nice start
Igor Gehenot Trio has an E.S.T.P feel to it, which I like
Some very good vibe work on the Pascal Schumacher Quartet track..
I'm very pleased to have met Luke Devereaux

…. this definitely not "waking up and going to work" music but great when you get home and start to relax with a large glass of some big and red from Tuscany :-D

I'll definitely be digging into the Igloo crates
