The Soul Preacher

Thanks for your comment on my latest show and I hear you on the healin’ game of music as well as I am now taking a "Journey To The One" Doctor of Jazz. Finally Reuben Wilson was not the only good idea.

Strictly tongue in cheek Dr Jazz. But YES you can play two bass guitars at once: https://youtu.be/z1KDEQoVM50

Wow! I wonder if he can do that with 2 uprights?:) Consider me amazed! Best, DrJ

Dear Sir, I must perchance take exception to your contention that one cannot have two bass players working in unison! This is certainly not the case, the much vaunted Mr Ornette Colman has used a bass duo for quite some time, please read this article on the interweb: http://www.bassplayer.com/artists/1171/tony-falanga-amp-al-macdowell-ornette-colemans-two-bass-tandem/26293 However, this slight faux pas did nothing to diminish the quality of your wonderful musical extravaganza. Top hole old chap!

No argument on your point! But I went back and listened to that break, just to be sure. What I said was "you can't play 2 basses at once', meaning that ONE person could not play two bass instruments simultaneously without overdubbing. It goes by rather quickly, so it's possibly misinterpreted. Anyway, I do flub sometimes, but not that one. Thanks for listening. Hope the new book is coming along splendidly! Cheers, DrJ

Glad we could leaven the stress. Very hectic here, too. Back to school after a 1 week break, and lots of 'stuff' to work through. Thanks for listening. Hope you and the family had a good Easter. Best, DrJ
