Love that tune from Alan Pasqua! The Hank and Jimmy tune was a good time, I dont have that release by them. Might have to dig up a vinyl or digital copy of that if it exists. Thanks as always for the tunes!

If you like that Pasqua tune, you'll love the whole CD. The McGriff is not essential, but as you say, it's a good time. Good music for a long drive late at night, but keep the cruise control on! Thanks for listening. Cheers, DrJ

Yeah, I have that Pasqua release but it has been sometime since Ive actually put it on, wicked good got me. As for the McGriff, cant argue with that, in my opinion, while their collaborations from the late 80s and early 90s are not really masterpieces they are enjoyable! Cheers...

Thanks for giving us a listen. If you enjoyed this show, there's more in the G&M archive. I'd suggest shows ending with the number 5; they are all 'listener favorite' shows. We've got the best jazz, both old & new, for you! Cheers, DrJ

The Lemon Circus

There is no greater love than Lady J :) Awwww! a sly shoutout for the other half, and why not? Have a great week Dr J and enjoy the Easter break

Best Holiday Wishes to you, JoAnne & the children. Cheers, DrJ

Here's the lyrics (composed by Isham Jones, with lyrics by Marty Symes - feel free to use them in a Valentine's Day card):
There is no greater love
Than what I feel for you
No sweeter song, no heart so true
There is no greater thrill
Than what you bring to me
No sweeter song
Than what you sing, sing to me
You're the sweetest thing
I have ever known
And to think that you are mine alone
There is no greater love
In all the world, it's true
No greater love
Than what I feel for you

The Lemon Circus

Vocals, piano, funky jazz yep you got them all here - I'm even sure I recall them all too - but my minds not what it once was :)

Don't talk to me about recall. You have no idea what further 'maturation' will do. I'm there:) Cheers, DrJ

The Lemon Circus

the flutes on Saturday Night - heavenly - not sure if I'm repeating myself if I thought such notes on my first listen as of course this is a 'best of..' show. Can see why this made the cut.

Indeed. You liked that one when it closed a 'regular' show, too.

Thanks for listening closely. Even though it's a real radio show and not a straight mix, we try to add a bit of seasoning when we do put tracks together and work at the flow across the entire 2 hours. Always a pleasure to have you on board. Have a fantabulous :) week! Cheers, DrJ
