Posting a pre-produced show early, so everyone across the world can have our offering on Christmas Eve. Some of our old favorites and new ones. This year, there were three jazz Christmas songs nominated for Grammies. And we have those too.

All the season's best from our house to yours! Enjoy the show.

This week's top listeners reside in Tokyo, Athens & Belgrade. Thanks for your ears!

Wow! You’ve gone all romantic with this show. I feel I should be drinking some mulled wine and roasting my chestnuts! Happy New Year!

Not all...but we put what's usually in the last half-hour upfront this year with Duke's Nutcracker at the end. Back to more of the usual 'stompin' this week for New Year's Eve. All the best to you and the family for a great 2017! Cheers, DrJ

The Lemon Circus

Santa baby was an entirely different song compared to Maddona / Ertha Kitt, from Rene's husky panting I don't think Santa is safe ;) OK what to say about this show other than you captured the mood wonderfully, oh no actually I wasn't keen on Louis reading the night before christmas - just scared me a little. I don't think his voice lends itself to bedtime stories for kids. Stick to the jazz - that would have been my advice. Loved Lorraine Feather - Feels Like Snow (who I remember from put another quarter in the jukebox song you played earlier in the year) also the charlie brown christmas music from Vince Guaraldi. I found favour with Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band - Do You Hear What I Hear? and those back to back Good 'Swing' Wenceslas & We Three Kings went perfectly. The piano on Away in a manger (my fave hymn) and then the lonely guitar on O little town of Bethlehem. I thought of Eve Greygoose oldies with Billy Eckstine - Christmas Eve it was just incredible pop and entirely new to me - what a discovery. And ending with what I stole from last years show Rise Up In the morning, a personal jazz favorite since I heard it. I enjoyed the show Dr J, nice pic of you and the cat chilled out - have a great new year to you and yours

Thanks, C! Really appreciate your detailed comments because that shows your really listened in the foreground. Yup, Rene Marie can put out milk & cookies for me any time. Whew, that track defines the word sensuality! Glad you liked the big band tracks & the Eckstine, and always pleased we could play your favorite hymn. All the best to you, Jamie & his Mrs., Joanne and the brood for a blessed & healthy 2017. Cheers, DrJ

Our pleasure....hope you had a wonderful holiday. It was hard to tell that it was winter here with temperatures around 80F, but the music helped me catch the spirit too.

Marco Caamal

Another great one in the books. If I was in your area I'd definitely like to do a collaboration. Merry Xmas!

Thanks Marco & Merry Christmas. Coincidentally, I JUST finished listening to your own Christmas Day show! Great minds obviously think alike. We can certainly do a 'pre-produced' broadcast long distance. Send me an email to my WHYR address, and let me know what you have in mind. BTW, did you check out that Rene Marie version of 'Santa Baby'; I think she outdoes Eartha! And Eartha was very sensual. Thanks for listening, DrJ
