Here is Vol. 2 of my New Jack Swing Mixes. This one like Vol. 1 with tracks from 1987 to 1989.
Teddy Riley and Gene Griffin where the Kingpins of New Jack Swing and Teddy's early Hip Hop productions from 1987 for the likes of Kool Moe Dee, Spoonie Gee, Classical 2 and others already showed his talent for funky swingin' beats and what was going to come. Keith Sweat's Hit Single I Want Her, co-produced by Teddy, dropped in 1987 and kick started the New Jack Swing craze in R&B. By 1989 New Jack Swing was all over the Radio and Clubs. Many other producers contributed to the New Jack Swing Sound (or Swing Beat as it was called in England) as well, like DJ Eddie F., L.A. & Babyface, Full Force, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to name a few.
