Autumn in Hong Kong is always a wonderful time. While the nights are drawing in and the leaves are falling off the trees in the rest of the world, we enjoy cool, clear evenings of 20c. Autumn is a time for reflection, a time to take stock on what you achieved in the year and to reassess your goals. There is still time to make up for lost time if you are behind, but you really shouldn't delay.
I also always get a bit homesick at this time for London. Autumn in London is beautiful - kicking through the golden leaves in the park, wrapping up warmly for bonfire night, longer nights and shorter days remind you that the year is coming to an end and that another annual cycle is coming to an end and how we are all inextricably linked to the unending cycle of life and death.
This is how I was feeling when I recorded this mix on a Thursday evening at The Pawn in Wanchai. It's a more moody set that I normally play and I feel it captured my mood on that Autumn night in Hong Kong.
