Gilles Deleuze - Proust et la loi

Gilles Deleuze - Proust et la loi

This is a discussion about Marcel Proust, the French novelist, critic, and essayist best known for his monumental work 'À la recherche du temps perdu' (In Search of Lost Time, 1913-1927).

In 1964, French philosopher Gilles Deleuze published 'Proust and Signs', a reference book in which Deleuze reads Marcel Proust's work as a narrative of an apprenticeship-more precisely, the apprenticeship of a man of letters. In the conference he gave, Deleuze dives into Proust's work and the law and explains how Proust's search of great laws became the key to understand his novel.
