Inter-Dimensional Music WQRT 20180817

Inter-Dimensonal Music is Heavy Music for Mellow People: North America's Gnarliest Mix of "Melodic Crust from the Sunshine Coast,” Sikh Slow Jams, and Very Cellular Songs.

The August 17, 2018 program begins with “May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You,” sacred music first channeled by the Incredible String Band, then appropriated as Sikh Devotional music, and now rendered in long-form by Tuluum Shimmering. We’ll hear more music from ISB (pictured here); eco-conscious Aussie crust from Terra Mater; apocalyptic Live Dead from 1992; dank bliss-outs from Prana Crafter; a celestial Linda Perhacs + Julia Holter duet; and a Purple Moonlight tribute to Aretha Franklin.

Catch ID Music in Indianapolis Fridays on 99.1FM WQRT from 12-1p (ET), with an encore presentation on Monday from 8-9p. We’re also on the air in the Chihuahuan Desert region of Far West Texas on the first Sunday of each month from 9-11p (CT) on 93.5FM, Marfa Public Radio.
