Take a journey through space and bass with Clash this week, as newcomer Dauwd steps up with a mix that shows why he’s been getting the tongues of the alternative music press well and truly wagging.

Hailing from Wales, Dauwd grew up playing pretty much any instrument he could get his hands on before turning to electronic production. His own material explores various ambient electronica and dubbed-out bass textures with a strong focus on percussion. A more rhythm-driven James Blake, perhaps, with (intelligently handled) nods to Burial’s urban euphoria.
