Here's a bluesy compilation of tunes sharing a theme of sexual attraction. What I call BIG BLUES has become my favorite genre over the years. Sounds great on a multichannel sound system and really gets the feet tapping and the hips moving.
Many of you may remember Dion from his hits from way back including "The Wanderer", "Runaround Sue", and "Abraham, Martin & John". He has re-invented himself and is now quite the compelling blues musician as is shown in this cut from his 2006 release "Bronx In Blue".
Blue Harlem and Imelda May are my big, exciting, new finds. This impressive swing/blues/jazz band in London gave Imelda her start. Sophie Shaw now does the singing for them and she's great, too.
This goes out to the good folks at The General Store in Pittsboro, NC. It was good for a good while. Thanks for trying.
