The theme for this cloudcast has been percolating since last summer when my wife and a good friend walked out of the cabana in their swimsuits and very fashionable hats just as Wilson Pickett's "She's Looking Good" started pumping out of the speakers in the pergola.
Early on I decided I didn't want to limit myself to only songs about men attracted to women. Over the next several months more and more great tunes kept coming to mind and the collection grew to more than two hours even when distilled.
This first volume consists of oldies, classic rock, and soul from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. The second has bluesy tunes from the 50's till just about yesterday.
Interesting historical tidbit: "Reet Petite" was written by Berry Gordy and Jackie Wilson's cousin. When it became a big hit, Berry Gordy used the proceeds to launch MoTown.
This cloudcast goes out to Robin and Bill for whom it can frequently be said: (S)he's Looking Good.
