Many of my friends and relatives have sons and daughters that are getting married. I love music and I love to dance. But I have been to too many weddings where I had no connection to the music and stood around drinking and talking when I’d rather be dancing. And I am not alone.
Let me direct this plea to anyone planning a wedding:
You and your friends can dance to the music you like any night of the week at just about any club in town. For many of the folks you invited to your reception this may be the only opportunity they'll have in a year or more to get out on a dance floor. Overwhelm their inhibitions and pull them out of their chairs with music that resonates over decades.
Help them keep that pledge they made to you years ago, "I'll dance at your wedding”.
