The opening song by Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88’s says it all. “Honkin', Shoutin', Pumpin', Poundin'” is what this set is all about.
Throw some great Blues singers in front of some kickass brass ensembles and you get a room full of sound. Those of you with 5.1 or 7.1 sound systems, this is going to be a real treat. Regardless here’s some big toe-tapping, thigh-slapping tunes.
If you look for tunes like these on the Internet or your rapidly-disappearing-neighborhood-CD-store you’re just have going to have to look through a number of different categories. We’ve got Rock, Blues, Jazz, Vocals, Big Band, and, maybe even, Easy Listening. This kind of BIG sound that pulls all kinds of genres together really, as my child-bride would say, “blows my skirt up”!
This is dedicated to Mitch Woods. The dude can boogie-woogie. And that’s just his starting point. What a trouper!
