We are all off sitting on beaches for the summer, so this month we have a pre-recorded show, packed with interviews and features. The show is focussed on goings on within the West Midlands region – there is so much to be excited about.
We have an interview with the novelist Sarah Moss, talking about her Coventry-set novel The Tidal Zone. We also talk to two writers of YA fiction on a scheme to promote more ethnic minority representation in the genre, and details of a series of YA fiction events in Birmingham.
We also have music about books and chat from The Bookshop Band ahead of their appearance at Coventry’s Big Comfy Bookshop. Blake also ventures outside the bounds of the city to chat to the owner of Astley Book Farm, a vast treasure trove of second hand books in a truly beautiful setting.
All this is interspersed with plenty of summer reading recommendations from booksellers, writers, bloggers, Brum Radio presenters and even a Hip Hop star in the form of Scroobius Pip.
