The latest Bodytonic Podcast comes from Manchester's golden boy, David Wolstencroft a.k.a. Trus'me. It's almost a year now since "Narda" was released on the US label Stilllove4music but the impact of that one 12" was huge. The follow up "W.A.R." was equally tasty and signalled that this fella is no one hit wonder. Now his debut LP "Working Nights" is causing a huge stir locally and internationally and shows that Trus'me is a force to be reckoned with.
Trus'me will play Stereotonic and Scribble on the 7th of March, but right now he brings us an exclusive Prime Numbers mix taking in disco, funk, jazz, deep house and a little techno. Bodytonic's Michael Black caught up with David between his busy studio schedule for the usual Podcast banter.
Where does your name "Trus'me" come from?
It's all a bit of fun really, its said quite often in the UK in the Hip Hop community. I'm kinda asking you to believe in me, only time will tell if that comes true.
