I've been getting more & more perplexed with the state of play in our world..... I don't need to list all the crazy stuff kicking off all around us but its not looking good for us and I can't help but think we're finally reaching the brink.

I've scattered a few thought provoking tunes throughout this mix...and I'll let them do the talking.

Some of these are tunes I've been chatting about lately with mates.

This mix is for Raithy :)

Peace

Another BRILLLIANT mix AD! Straight in the faves box – every tune a winner.
Seems like a complicated world for sure AD. However I’m with Max Ehrmann and his poem written in 1927. Still relevant today and I’m with his final upbeat analysis “with all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy” – full poem below for you AD.
Your mixes bring another quote to mind.
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love” – Mother Teresa
Your doing your bit to spread those happy feel-good vibes and big respect for that AD – keep up the great work. Leave the haters to God, Karma and their conscience – these will all catch up with them – Cheers Jas :)
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

Jas.... your spot on, mate. Keep the glass half full and thankfully I've blown away my funk with my funk.
Beautiful words and sentiment.... thanks for sharing.

Jas Bhabra

Thanks AD. I’m glad just to have a glass when you look at the lives of others.
Keep up the great work. Bought this Cliff Noble tune today for £2 today – Love is Alright. Think my neighbours must of heard it about 20 times tonight ….lol. My Mrs loves it too so when the teenagers in are still in bed we’ll be dancing to it in the front room tomorrow – Cheers Jas :)
