Atomic Dog v Back Across The Tracksby Atomic Dog
Marlena Shaw, Sheila Beenz & The Tolsons, Reality, Lee Harris, Kenny & Larry and more.
Heading back this time - the long way round, Across The Tracks with a trunk full of funky uptempo 45's.
Huh. The Lee Harris is cool. I had heard only the Marva Whitney tune "Sugar Bear" featuring that instrumental before.
Have a listen to gene Williams. - whatever you do (do it good). Another version again!
btw the way did you check out the slowed down version of Communicate Don't Hate? http://www.mixcloud.com/soulfulfella/time-stops-a-belson-ized-exercise/ it's about 44 minutes in.
Ha! Love it...what a mint idea!
It sounds so dirty slowed down.
Love the Lee Harris on of my favorites! Never leaves my box!
Top tune...3 versions by 3 different artists to my knowledge.... All quality!
Excellent - The Voices track sound TOP - look forward to it. Loving these mixes. Keep up the sterling work :)
Thanks again, Jas. So many great tunes out there flying under the radar - never a need to get wrapped up in things like X Factor.Got a nice Voices of East Harlem tune for my next mix - Oxford Town, it's a great funky gospel sound. Reworking of a Bob Dylan tune. Thanks for listening - keep funking.
WHAT ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL MIX - I turned into 'Luis Stefanel' and my lap top took a bit of a thumping. Mack On - what a groove. In fact every track I thought was brilliant. Like the others I really like the Merl Saunders tune - probably because I dig the Voices of East Harlem (Cashing in/Wanted Dead or Alive). I would have loved to see some of these groups play live. My teenagers watch Xfactor and say Dad the music you listen to is rubbish.....kids eh, if only they knew! Gotta love em! THANKS FOR THE SHARE- KEEP EM COMING! :)
No telephone number tunes on these mixes, mate.
I like your posts Dog, I can actually own some of them lol
Cheers for the comments, Toni! Looks like Merls stopping in the playbox lol
