I'm just an ill underground femcee trying to make it. My first favorite emcee was Jeru Da Damaja in the 6th grade and I've been rhyming ever since. In total there have been 7 independent projects and a bunch of collaborations with emcees and vocalist of many different areas of the game. I gravitate toward tracks with jazz influenced, more soulful feels because it compliments my hyper-poetic rhyme style the most. Also, I like the historical context jazz places the listener in because I'm usually referencing the same period. There are lots of African and Pan African themes in my music. There is a lot of talk of social evolution as well as showing how I'm artistically inspired by current events and the social climate to create lyrics and verse. My latest project is Brown Signs & Black Paradigms and you can purchase an abridged copy for only 5 bucks https://aphropik.bandcamp.com/ or the entire project is available on iTunes and most digital music outlets like Amazon and so forth.
