Playing tracks by
Adam Johnson, Holden & Thompson, Van Bellen, Valentino, Sundawner and more.
This is a mix of my favorite Progressive Trance records dating from 1998 to 2005. It features lots of classic tracks from James Holden, Gabriel & Dresden, Way Out West, Derek Howell, Quivver, Der Dritte Raum, Andy Moor, Van Bellen and Break-Beat-Trance hero Luke Chable. When I recorded this set, I felt really nostalgic and couldn't play any new records. Bored with bloodless minimal house and egomanic electro tunes I needed something to refresh my spirit. So I went through my record collection and played all my favorite records, with real turntables in realtime (hear the scratches at the beginning) with all the mistakes and lucky by-chance-mixes. At the very end you'll hear Brian Eno's "An Ending" from 1983 playing backwards which happens to be the original playing direction of that piece. He didn't like it, and so he reversed the tape playing direction and added some additional sound layers to it. At least this is what Daniel Lanois says.
