Chris Urbanic is back to talk about how he was inspired to start making art from things he found in nature, like clay and elderly ex-salamanders.
He talks about his time working with artists in New York galleries and some of the famous artists he's met, such as Jasper Johns, Tom Otterness, and Ulrich Ruckriem. He talks about being Clive Barker's assistant for a week, nearly finger-less co-workers, and drinking beer in pubs with Germans.
Chris talks about his mentor Bill Hopen, and how he's inspired him and given him the confidence to create his first commissioned piece. Dan shares a similar story about one of his own mentors, Mr. Craig Weber, and how those who believe in us inspire us to grow. Chris and Dan stop short of singing Bette Midler songs about eagles, but come pretty close.
