The feeling is mutual my friend! Looking forward to hearing your PFunk set. Cheers!

Feeling at home with this kind of music. That "It's A New Day" album by J.C. Davis is so amazing. Did you know that he plays the sax solo of James Brown's first studio recording of "Night Train"? He is credited nowhere, but it's true ... Great music, StanLee! Thanks for sharing!

I am familiar with JC Davis and his time in the Brown camp. You made me laugh when I heard the "shout out" on the track. I never payed attention to it before. I guess it's obvious that he ,in the 70s , foreseen the coming of a "soul man" named StanLee and put it on a track . It's only right that I honor him by playing it. Lol!

The Soul Preacher

LOL! YES, you were a legend of Soul music even before you knew it. This playlist by the way just made me buy more music of 8th Day and Shuggie Otis. You did some serious Soul Preachin’ on me :)

Thank you my Soul Brother. I plan on playing more "bluesy soul" sometime in the future. I'm hoping to get a positive response. I learned to love it as I 've gotten older.

When growing up I always thought the Blues was music for old people in bars.Lol
Now I'm the old person loving the Blues, I just stay out of bars.
