This month on Berlin Calling, we've a double whammy of aural candy:
First up is Jonny Tiernan, DJ and founder/editor of LOLA, an English-language cultural magazine focused on the people and stories that make Berlin special. He first made his name as the Belfast-based publisher of Alternative Ulster, an acclaimed UK-Ireland magazine that ran for more than a decade, before moving to Berlin four years ago. After more than two decades of DJing, Jonny has just launched his first alter ego, ACID GOLD, which specialises in discopunk. He'll be showcasing his alter ego's sound live.
Also spinning for us this month is rising DJ/producer Stina Francina who's making her mark in Berlin after cutting her DJ teeth in her hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden, as resident at one of the city's best-loved parties, Klubb Zättigung. As well as DJing around Europe, she has released a stellar remix of Pindura on Dark Beauty earlier this year and her debut EP, Ways to Stray, is about to drop.
