A mix encapsulating the spirit of whosampled.com and its community: the discovery of great music and its origins, appreciating contemporary producers and the artists who influenced them, sharing surprising musical connections and unearthing gems from music's past and present. A mix of classic breaks, heavily sampled originals, favourite sample-based joints and cool covers. We've dodged the obvious stuff and kept it old skool, notably by paying tribute to Synthetic Substitution, the classic song (and killer breakbeat) by Melvin Bliss, who died last month. We've stuck to Hip-Hop and its origins, but Electronic fans will find some surprisingly familiar samples too.
