Haley Robertson, an Americorps volunteer at Mary's Center in Washington, DC, is the Activist of the Week on Take Action News with David Shuster. Haley describes her work teaching computer literacy and other essential skills in Spanish to low-income immigrants, most of whom are women. Haley not only teaches her students basic computer skills that will help them manage their finances and find a job, she also helps them adjust to American culture. Haley tells David that growing up in the sometimes tough neighborhoods of Eastern Indianapolis has inspired her to pursue a life of service.
