I spun my first track on a turntable at the age of 2 and have collected music since the age of 6. I played music to crowds at 16 and was running my own roadshow at 17. Back then I was playing playing soul, rare groove, disco.
One day in 1989, an old school mate Scott James (Shave Yer Tongue resident DJ) introduced me to more fully to a new musical genre he was only experimenting with on his "disco" dance floors. That music was house.
I loved the music being played on the dance floors of Passion, Shoom and SYT but I was also impressed with the loved up attitude of the clubbers who went. I loved music even more.
The piano became my favorite instrument, every clubber my best friend.
By 1995 I was firmly routed as resident DJ to one of the UK's biggest club nights (and first super clubs) known as The Full Monty.
