Bit of a special show this week. We recorded half the show in Berlin! We talk to Berlin electronica label Leisure System founder and label manager, Ost Gut Ton recording artist and Berghain resident Barker (of Barker & Baumecker, and previously known as Voltek) about the label, the club and everything that’s happening in the world of future electronica and bass music. He also has a never before heard, 100% exclusive track for us in the form of a forthcoming Leisure System release. Fascinating stuff.
Elsewhere there’s the usual mix of brand new indie, disco and all manner of non-genre excellence, featuring brand new tracks from Casiokids, M83, Toro Y Moi and Two Wounded Birds. We also pay tribute to the wonderful DJ Mehdi whose untimely death at the age of 34 was announced this week.
