So, our 'Best of 2011' podcast.. and what a year it was.
First of all, let’s get those pesky honourable mentions out of the way (pesky because they remind us that it’s sometimes painful to stay disciplined - 2hrs is simply not enough to summarise a year of great music): Rustie, Kate Bush, Gang Gang Dance, Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, Common, Black Milk, Lana Del Rey, Modeselektor, Shabazz Palaces, Tyler the Creator, Paul Simon, Teebs, Roots Manuva, Black Keys, Zola Jesus, and a whole load more besides all released great stuff in 2011 that we weren’t able to include. We thought of mentioning James Blake too, but both agreed the album was overrated. Stuff that in your trendy music blog and smoke it! On a more positive note, if we left all that goodness out, imagine what we kept in! Well, there's no need to imagine, it's awaiting your hungry ears right now.
